None of those models are real, and yet they wear apparel from a famous fashion brand, agnes b.
The process was straightforward using fancy.tech, a technology recently awarded by LVMH:
- Take product pictures (top and bottom) from the e-commerce site.
- Choose your synthetic model.
- Click on generate.
Tadaam.
This will likely be the norm in 2025, especially for fashion websites that release thousands of products every year and don't have the budget to conduct a proper photoshoot with a model for each of them. This won't substitute the modeling industry, but it will solve the problem of having all products presented with a model, which is too costly.
Moving forward, a unique perspective can be provided on products: it's sometimes just impossible to take pictures of a bag from the inside, especially when it's too small or some parts are too narrow.
Combining 3D modeling and GenAI, new perspectives—legitimate but impossible to create until now—will be provided so that hopefully clients can get closer to the real thing.
